Description
SO, another picture from the digital photo shoot that I was unhappy with overall. Though, something about this photo intrigues me... something about the overexposure. Because the figure is cropped oddly and overexposed I decided to categorize it as "Abstract". I think the entire photo concentrates more on shapes, color and eye movement.I called it "Floating" because of the lightness. The lightness of the feathers, hair and color of skin. Something about it intrigues me, so I post it here to see what you guys think. All crits welcome but take note of my usual style to see that this wasn't something I had in mind AT ALL.

To me the most successful part of this piece is not just the cropping, but the framing as well. Many photographers get caught up with poetry/prose and text on their work and don't let the image speak for itself. The border (or lack thereof) was done well, as you manage to make a rather crampy crop into a breathable composition.
Overexposure....eh, I appreciate it, but I'm a diehard fan of good contrast...need those darks.
WHY IS IT BLURRY!?!?!? To me that almost negates all the good I've already said. If you don't have a tripod, get one.

Personally, I'm still not of fan of this blur, but I have an idea.
Next time you doing a self portrait on a timer w/autofocus, place and object about where you'll be in the photo...set the zoom/focus, hit the timer...and get there fast
Or, take one like you did, with a friend standing by (or standing in for you), then when you see the general idea of what you want have the friend take the shot.

why... i feel this like a composition of colours and patterns... and second meaning give this human form but this person is totaly unspecific... and this is good point of this picture two layers... left side is more literal like a right but this picture cuted and pres. separatly in the same time give much much more in my opinion...
regards !!!

you should leave just a bit of border to the face and hands and it would look great
